Who, Me?

 I'm Chris. I write ads for a living and have an unyielding devotion to the oxford comma.

Before making my way into advertising, I mixed drinks, pretended to be other people on stage, and explained the fascinating world of alcohol distillation to tipsy tourists. Turns out, understanding how to keep people engaged in a world that’s constantly screaming for attention in a million different ways is perfect training for advertising.
My journey as a copywriter has taken me from Saatchi & Saatchi to RPA to Quigley-Simpson, and now to Charts + Darts as an Associate Creative Director. Along the way, I've created work for brands like Honda, Toyota, Ball Aluminum Cups, Yokohama Tire, and Golden Eagle Vodka (full circle on that distillery experience).
When I'm not trying to make people care about products they didn't know existed, I'm teaching the next generation of advertising masochists at The Book Shop School for Ads.
I believe the best advertising feels like it was made by an actual human who understands other humans. Revolutionary concept, I know.
